It's our favourite time of the year again

Yes, it's our favourite time of the year again, Christmas. A time to indulge in a bit of Christmas cheer and dress up in my favourite vintage jewellery. We have just changed our cover photograph for a little Christmas one.

Yes, we are going to call it Christmas. Christmas, Christmas, Christmas - Traditionally so in the UK and will always be that.

A festive time of the year to wear sparkling jewellery - like a diamante vintage necklace at a Christmas party in your best frock. A rhinestone vintage bracelet in clear or red or back glass to add more sparkle to your special Christmas day outfit. Or a pair of dangling glittering vintage earrings to add a little panache to an otherwise boring occasion!!

Indulge yourself now ....

Yeah A Little Vintage Necklace for Friday

Yeah, A Little Vintage Necklace For Friday.

Its early September and it is raining. The weather across the world is horrendous. So we have chosen a yellow bead vintage necklace from the 1950s, for our Friday treat. Below is our necklace image and a little bit of fun lettering added to it.

Yellow fixed bead necklace 1950s.

Forget the rain and wind. Just wear a little bead necklace today in a bright and cheerful colour. Then maybe we will have some better weather next week!!. This is a fabulous yellow resin bead piece with indentations around the beads filled with a reflected enamel coating. Well, that's what it looks like to me! It is of the fixed bead variety - i.e. that means the beads have been fused onto the string. It makes this beaded necklace quite durable and will wear very well. Ideal for those moms and grand moms that have small children grabbing the necklace.

We have many different vintage necklaces to showcase. From beads to chain and many are very unique featured on this blog post.

2017 a big challenge in geek jewellery

Geek jewellery 2017 style

Good morning world. 2017 is now very much on us. It is nearly the end of the first month. Just think in 10 months time - we will be putting the Christmas decorations up again.

What will 2017 bring to Geek jewellery? Well, we will have more great vintage and pre-owned pieces, but we do plan to introduce more handmade and recycled vintage jewellery. Lots of plans in progress.
Jewel's just loves plastic and has been experimenting with different looks. This year is also the space age with plenty of alien and outer space looking brooches and choker necklaces becoming fashionable. Comic book heroes are all in at the moment along with cute cat and dog images!

2017 A big challenge in Geek jewellery

So as we prepare to blog about the 2016's chosen topic of quirky jewellery collecting - witch and magical inspired cheapo jewellery. It is down to put our thinking cap on to what do we collect this year that is cheap and a little bit geeky? Our past efforts have been - alien, dinosaur, Halloween and last years were witches inspired! So what do I collect in 2017? Watch this blog as all will be revealed soon...
